Vulcan HDS Heavy-Duty Submersible Slurry Pumps

Vulcan HDS Heavy-Duty Submersible Slurry Pumps

Why consider Vulcan Pumps for your next submersible pump application?

Vulcan Pumps specializes in designing high-quality pump systems. Our team ensures quality work with the ability to easily make changes to fit your specific application needs. Our quality control team inspects every part of the pump before assembly and during the manufacturing process, testing materials and appearance before it’s ever shipped to the client.

Made in the USA:

Patterns, casting and machine parts and assembly all come from our state-of-the art facility right here in the Southeast US. This ensures on-time delivery, quality control and consistent pricing.

Metallurgy: CD4MCUN, Alloy 20, Hastelloy, 2205, 2507

Owning our patterns and pouring in the Southeastern US, we can pour the right material for your application at a reasonable price and lead-time. For abrasive service we offer ASTM A532 Cl. III Type A high chrome iron liquid end castings. This is the hardest material we offer for severe slurry applications and it offers mild corrosion resistance. For more applications with chemical or high chloride concerns we have several choices in ASTM A890 duplex and super duplex stainless steels (CD4, 2205, and 2507) as well as ASTM A494 high nickel alloys (C276, A20). Hardware, motor shafts, and other pump components can also be manufactured in these materials.

Seal Design: Working with our partner John Crane Co., we have developed multiple seal designs to best meet the needs of the application. This ensures you have the best seal for the application and are not relying on a motor manufacturer to generically give a seal selection for you.

Parts: Our parts are inventoried locally in Birmingham, AL. This allows us to offer quality components at reasonable prices with a short, one-week lead-time.

Rebuild Program: Pump rebuild services, upgrades, and testing with full warranty in our Birmingham repair facility. Our distributors also offer trained local repair services.

Applications and Markets: Our pumps are suitable for use in any sump service that may have abrasive or corrosive challenges. These are some of the traditional markets.

Introducing Gorman-Rupp SFSC Eradicator Plus™ For 3”, 4”, and 6” SF Series® Pumps

Introducing Gorman-Rupp SFSC Eradicator Plus™ For 3”, 4”, and 6” SF Series® Pumps

Gorman-Rupp is pleased to introduce SFSC pump models to the SF Series® product offering. SFSC pumps are equipped with Gorman-Rupp’s Eradicator Plus™ solids reduction technology. This system is designed to cut and shred organic solids before they enter the interior of the pump. These models are the most aggressive in the SF Series product lineup and are designed for applications where non-woven flushable wipes, trash bags, hair, industrial by-products and agricultural wastes are present.

All SFSC pumps are equipped with a rugged, heavy-duty continuous vane impeller for the most aggressive waste-handling applications. The pump out vanes incorporated into the thick back shroud help prevent the buildup of debris behind the impeller. The wear plate incorporated into the SFSC pumps utilizes notches and grooves with an oversized lacerating tooth designed to cut and shred organic solids before they enter the pump. SFSC pumps are available in 3”, 4” and 6” discharge sizes.
